Otunba Oluseye Opatoki, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, has extended his heartfelt greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters as we celebrate the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1446 A.H.
In his words, “This sacred occasion marks a new beginning, and it is my sincere hope that it brings peace, prosperity, and happiness to all. May this new year be filled with abundant blessings from Allah, and may we all find strength and inspiration in our faith.
As we embark on this new year, I pray for a fruitful and fulfilling year for everyone. May our efforts in both personal and communal endeavors be crowned with success. Let us embrace the values of compassion, unity, and service to others that Islam teaches, and strive to make a positive impact in our communities. Together, we can build a society where everyone thrives and lives in harmony.
I also pray for the continuous progress and development of Oyo State. Under the leadership of our esteemed Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, we have seen remarkable strides in various sectors. May Allah grant him wisdom, strength, and protection as he continues to steer our state towards greater heights. Let us all support his vision and work collectively towards the betterment of our beloved state.”
He further wished all Muslims a joyous and blessed Islamic New Year. “May Allah’s guidance and protection be upon us all, and may He grant us the grace to achieve our aspirations and overcome any challenges that come our way. Happy Hijrah 1446 A.H!”
