A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Otunba Oluseye Opatoki, has joined millions of Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to celebrate the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
In his goodwill message, Otunba Opatoki congratulated Nigerians for their resilience and unwavering spirit despite the nation’s challenges, noting that the anniversary is a moment for reflection and renewed commitment to unity and progress.

“As Nigeria marks 65 years of independence, I urge every citizen to embrace hope, unity, and patriotism. This milestone is not only about celebrating our freedom but also about recommitting ourselves to the ideals of justice, fairness, and collective progress,” he stated.
The PDP chieftain further emphasized the need to honor the sacrifices of the nation’s founding fathers and uphold the values that bind Nigerians together. According to him, with tolerance and dedication, Nigeria can truly become a beacon of peace and prosperity in Africa.
