CCRATA Announces 2025 Summer Boot Camp to Empower Children Across Oyo State

The Child’s Cultural Right & Advocacy Trust Agency (CCRATA) has officially announced its highly anticipated 2025 Summer Boot Camp, a month-long educational and empowerment program for children aged 6 to 14 in Oyo State.

Set to run from August 11th to September 9th at de-Vine Lifter Global College, Mokola Housing Estate, Ibadan, the boot camp is tailored to equip young participants with practical vocational skills, stimulate their mental development, and promote self-discovery through structured, child-focused learning activities.

The initiative is part of CCRATA’s commitment to child development and advocacy and aligns with its membership in the Alliance Against Hunger, a global campaign launched in Brazil last year. The organization emphasizes that this year’s boot camp will focus on skill acquisition, creativity, and value-based learning—critical components in building a future-ready generation.

Speaking on the program, Mr Oyewunmi Oyedokun stated:

“We believe that every child has the right to be nurtured in a way that builds both capacity and confidence. This boot camp is designed not only to keep children engaged during the holiday but to empower them with knowledge and skills that will serve them for life.”

One of the highlights of this year’s camp is the provision of daily free meals for all participants, made possible through the support of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on School Feeding. This added incentive aims to ensure that every child, regardless of background, can benefit fully from the program in a safe and nurturing environment.

The venue—de-Vine Lifter Global College, located opposite Saint Louis Grammar School in Ibadan—will host children from across the state in a vibrant, interactive setting led by trained facilitators and educators.

Registration is now open, and parents and guardians are encouraged to enroll their children early, as spaces are limited.
